| Effective July 1, 2001, WVBEC has a formal review process in place for approving providers of continuing education for Licensed Professional Counselors. Please refer to the Legislative Rule, Series 3, as it contains the necessary requirements for becoming an Approved Provider for LPC continuing education. “Approved provider” means an agency, organization, person, institution, or professional association or its local affiliates which has applied to and received approval by the Board to provide approved programs of continuing professional education under its own auspices, and which remains approved by complying with the provisions of subdivision 6.2.b.of Series 3.

All ethics offered in a formal setting in order to fulfill the ethical requirement for LPC must be taught by a LPC
and the offering must be 3 hours based on the ACA Code of Ethics.
