We have an information/application CD that contains all the forms needed to apply for licensure. The instructions will guide you in filing your "Licensure Packet".

You need to file the completed "Licensure Packet" with the board office prior to taking the National Counselor Exam and/or receiving your provisional licensure certificate. Please note that WVBEC also accepts the CRC exam.

INDIVIDUALS CURRENTLY LICENSED IN ANOTHER STATE (FULLY LICENSED AND HAVING COMPLETED THE SUPERVISION REQUIREMENT): REQUEST A RECIPROCITY PACKET. FOLLOW THE SAME DIRECTIONS BELOW AND SEND FOR THE CD BUT ALSO TELL US WHICH STATE IN WHICH YOU ARE CURRENTLY LICENSED.
Please send your name, address, email address, phone number and a check or money order for $30.00 payable to
WVBEC, 815 Quarrier Street, Suite 212, Charleston, West Virginia 25301. Unless our staff member is on vacation, your request will be processed within 7 days. You will receive a copy of the licensing and fees rule in your packet. packet. If you would like to use a credit card to purchase the application CD, please see the Credit Card tab for instructions.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NEW APPLICANTS FOR LPC:
Each application filed on or after July 1, 2010 will be subject to the $200.00 application fee
regardless of when the application was requested
