Please note, for individuals currently licensed in another state (licensed at the highest level of licensure in your state, having completed the supervision and exam requirement) you will need to request the 'LPC Reciprocity Packet'. Please click the title for more information.
Ohio applicants please note, the "Ohio LPCC" is equivalent to the "LPC in WV". If you are licensed as an LPC in Ohio, this is equivalent to the Provisionally Licensed Counselor in WV in which the supervision requirement has not been completed. The LPC in Ohio will need to request the standard application materials for licensure as you will not be applying as an endorsement applicant. Thank you.
Applicants for LPC Licensure will need to file the completed "LPC Licensure Packet" with the board office prior to taking the National Counselor Examand/or receiving your provisional licensure certificate. Please note that WVBEC also accepts the CRC or NCMHCE exam. If you have already taken and passed the NCE exam as part of your graduate studies, please request NBCC forward your exam scores to the board address below.
If you have additional questions after reviewing the licensing rules and reviewing the application materials, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
